Are we giving Satan too much credit?

Ben Lunis's picture

Blessed Lord, I often hear people giving Satan the "credit" for unwanted or "bad" events in their lives. They blame Satan for what has occurred. I recognize that things can just happen, as the huge tree that fell across our deck in a wind storm this week. Lord, how do we separate actual satanic attacks from things that just happen?

Ben, too many of My people are prone to giving Satan "credit" for things that transpire in their lives.  Why do they not come to Me and ask Me about that which has happened? When they give Satan credit for something, they are cutting Me out of the picture. I want My people to come to Me for everything, and I do mean everything! When My people do this, I am enabled to help them, to guide them, to comfort them,in whatever is taking place. Just blaming Satan for some event and then going on about "living" cuts Me out of the picture, and when it does, it cuts Me out of what I am wanting to do in their lives.

Thank you, Lord and Ben. I was also reminded today to remember the character of our God and that all things go through His hand before they enter our lives.

Marni, thank you for your thanks!  Regarding your statement, I felt prompted to ask our Lord
for His comments on your statement.  Here is what I received for your consideration:
Ben, this is incorrect theology.  While I am aware of all that is happening,
I do not interfere with the wills of people.  This is why I want everyone to
first come to Me in any given situation.  When I am asked to interfere, to
be involved, then I will.  When people choose to believe I am filtering
everything ahead of time, they will not be relying upon Me.  Rather,
they are hoping that this is the case.  I so want My people to come
to me for everything and in every situation.  I will hear and I will respond!
Many blessings to you,
Ben

Hi Ben,
Thank you for your response. God is present and active in all situations. Knowing that He is there is the reason why I seek Him in all areas of life.
Being passive and fatalistic (...it was meant to be) is not the answer.

Marni
