How do you view faiths other than your own? If you are persuaded that your own faith is true then are you tempted to express contempt and ridicule for others? Yet you are called not only to present my gospel message to every creature but also to win souls, implying that you should be effective. This requires wisdom and expressing contempt and ridicule toward those you would reach is unwise. Wisdom in this case implies that there is no single formula to apply in all cases, but as Paul said, I become all things to all people that I might save some. If you are led by the Spirit you will be able to disagree and declare truth in a way that leads to life rather than division.

this is really good, Dale. I had some similar thoughts and when I hear the body of Christ put 'other' folks down by putting up a wall between them, it grieves me. God showed me some very creative ways to witness where it doesn't push one backwards instead. He's also been showing me the fertile ground where to sow, or to nourish or to gather. It becomes so much easier when we let gravity have its way in the things of the Spirit. And when we can be ourselves 'on the street' and watch for the open door. Then we will not have to cast our pearls before swine nor let them be trampled by the enemy. The Spirit can be a gentle breeze or a mighty rushing wind in these things. Thanks again for this journal.
All faiths lead to Jesus?
by Anonymous
I've recently changed my view of other faiths without compromising on the supremacy and uniqueness of Jesus. Paul said "Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith". Some would say that all faiths lead to God. We might not agree with that but perhaps they lead to Jesus. Once we discover that we cannot fulfill any robust moral code to be justified before God then we find we need the justification that is only found in the cross. Let's pray that other faiths become the tutor to lead people to Christ.
