But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God... (Deut. 28:15 NKJV)
The above translation IS CORRECT according to the Hebrew words used for obey and voice (shâma‛ H8085 and qôl (kole) H6963). These two words are found 1720 times and 96% of the time they are translated as a “voice” which we hear and obey. Six translations translate the above two verses with the word “voice” (KJV, NKJV, Modern KJV, American Standard Version, NASB - margin, YLT). -
