We are passionate to see the course of our nation reversed. We believe God has called us to pray, and then get involved as necessary.
So I have asked my son Joshua Virkler to become our newest blogger, and to blog about an area he has always been passionate about: God and government.
The focus will be to educate. Josh will be writing periodic blogs that inform us about the top issues that our government is dealing with that we could pray for, plus offer a Spirit-anointed and biblically-grounded perspective on these issues.

Since these blogs are likely to be timed to events which could use immediate prayer or action, I suggest that if you are not already receiving our "Daily Digest of All CWG Ministries’ Life-Engaging Blogs" you sign up for them here. This way you can be a timely intercessor and effective worker in the restoration of our nation.
I would begin the prayer requests by asking that you pray continuously for the Church to awaken to God's voice and discover they can live out of it, as this will promote revival and righteousness in the land. Repent for her sins of not honoring the Holy Spirit, the voice of God and dreams and visions. Pray repentance for our sins of rejecting those who have not embraced the Holy Spirit, and for being angry with them. Receive forgiveness and cleansing for all these sins on behalf of ourselves and for them. (See Daniel's example of repentance for the sins of his nation in Daniel 9.)
Pray for the spiritual forces behind pride, disdain and religion to be bound and cast down in Jesus' name and all curses to be broken off in Jesus' name. Pray for a hunger to be birthed in all Christians' hearts for true, full spiritual intimacy.
Pray for God to raise up the message of communion with God, and for more people to discover the CWG website, and be transformed as they step into a deeper spiritual intimacy. Pray for God to sweep the nation by His Spirit, bringing forth a true revival.
Lord, let it be. Let America fulfill her spiritual destiny of being a true light to all nations.

Look at these powerful promises, and know you can impact our nation through prayer! Be a world-changer!
- If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land (2 Chron. 7:14).
- For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this (Isa. 9: 6, 7).
