Below is a progression of steps to take to become emotionally free!

I suggest you call the churches in your area and ask the secretary if they offer deliverance prayer ministry. If they say yes, ask if you can be scheduled. However, fully and completely work through the first 6 prayers on the CDs before you go for counseling!

Wholeness involves being filled with Gods truth, light and revelation, which drives out demons and their lies and darkness. You can attempt this process on your own, or for greater effectiveness, you can connect with others who are on the same path. I love to team up with like-minded believers, since one can chase a thousand but two can put 10,000 to flight (Deut. 32:30). So whenever I am seeking to grow, I unite with others who are also seeking similar growth, or who are ahead of me in the area. In light of these principles, we make the following suggestions to you:

Learn and apply the seven Prayers that Heal the Heart

We have DVDs of both of these training series, and suggest you create or join a small group in your area to watch the DVDs and apply them together as a group, sharing your journaling and praying for one another as desired. Start with 4 Keys to Hearing God's Voice, and follow this up with Prayers That Heal the Heart. Order one set of DVDs for the group and one LEARN Notebook for each group participant, plus at least one main book for each family (for background reading during the week).

For the Prayers That Heal the Heart series, we have free helps you can download. We recommend two people minister deliverance to one individual, and that they precisely follow the steps on the Deliverance Cheat Sheet. By doing this, you should experience great success. Pray for one another until everyone desiring deliverance prayer has received it. Also, you can check our “Seminars” tab and discover where Mark Virkler is teaching on either How to Hear God’s Voice or Prayers that Heal the Heart. These would be life-changing workshops as you do receive a touch from God in both of these seminars and you come away changed.

If you take the time to do this thoroughly and do it right, you can receive complete healing and you can stay healed. We believe that following our suggestions above is how to "do it right."

Our Approach Offers Deliverance from Demons Through a "Revelation-Based Power Encounter"

This method involves the casting out of demons using the power of Jesus’ name (i.e., a “power encounter”), which occurs AFTER you have received revelation from God concerning legal rights the demons have to be present, and removed these legal rights through the use of the first six prayers discussed in the Prayers That Heal the Heart training materials. Taken together, these six prayers comprise a series of “revelation-based truth encounters” which allow a stream of light to flow into you and remove the anchors the demons are attached to. With the anchors removed, the demons can be cast out quite easily. After the deliverance prayer, you must fill your heart with fresh revelation knowledge given by the Holy Spirit. This is accomplished by completing a Bible meditation (Josh 1:8) on the relevant topic. For example, if anger and hatred were cast out, then the Bible meditation would be on filling your heart with the opposite of anger and hatred, which is love, mercy and forgiveness.

You will note that the power encounter is sandwiched between two revelation-based truth encounters, (plus revelation is sought during the power encounter also). You will note that revelation is received, before, during and after the power encounter. This provides an effective, non-traumatizing healing process which lasts and does not disappear after a day or two! Since the light/truth of God is continuously integrated into each of the steps, demonic darkness is steadily pushed out and then kept at a distance.

Time allotment when working with revelation-based deliverance prayer

First six prayers – which comprise a “revelation-based truth encounter” (about 2 hours)
Seventh prayer – a “revelation-based power encounter” (about 1 hour, where demons are commanded to leave in Jesus’ name, and Words of Knowledge help dislodge them as necessary)
Follow-up Bible meditation by client – a “revelation-based truth encounter” (about 15 hours over a 3 to 4 week follow-up period)

The above 3 steps are defined in-depth, delineated and practiced as one works through the Prayers That Heal the Heart training materials (Book, CDs, DVDs, LEARN Notebook). An ideal setting is a small group viewing the DVDs and applying the prayers together, over a several week course and praying for one another as needed.

Jesus modeled this revelation-based power encounter approach to deliverance when He said, I only do what I hear and see My father doing, and He would command demons to leave (Jn. 5:19, 20, 30; Matt. 8:16).

A picture of what this revelation infused power encounter looks like in real life: Since this is revelation-based, the client and the counselors both need to be able to hear God’s voice (flowing thoughts), and receive God’s visions (flowing pictures). Then as all seven prayers are prayed, client and counselors seek revelation from God (flowing thoughts, flowing pictures, and flowing emotions). After the deliverance is over, the client takes 3-4 weeks and completes a Bible meditation on the topic that will help him fill the inner void (where the demon left) with the presence and power and light of the Holy Spirit. Bible meditation involves praying over verses, doing two-way journaling about them and receiving heart revelation concerning them. This produces heart faith, which keeps satan at bay so the demons do not return.

Abraham, the father of faith, demonstrates this process. He heard God’s voice, (Gen. 12:1-3), saw God’s visions (Gen. 15:1-5), and the result was belief (Gen. 15:6). This process must be followed if you are seeking faith to drive demonic darkness out of your life and be filled with the light of Almighty God.

Since many have not cultivated the skill of easily hearing God’s voice and seeing God’s visions, we strongly urge people to begin the healing process by going through the training materials on “4 Keys to Hearing God's Voice." This will train them how to let God’s light pour into their hearts and souls, and it will keep the seven prayers from becoming merely mechanical recitations. Mechanical recitations of the prayers are essentially useless.

So take the time to connect with the Wonderful Counselor, the Father of Lights, so His light can drive out demonic darkness and by basking in His light, the darkness cannot return.

Thank you so much for your teaching and ministry. Our church is doing the Hearing Gods Voice course which is great. However, I noticed the Prayers That Heal The Heart advert in the seminar guide, and I've been going through the teaching. I've been a Christian for 25 years and I'm pretty well read. I've been struggling for many years with a terrible wound in my heart which has dominated my life. Like you, I was able to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit but was dogged by fears and dominated by traumatic pictures.

I've read many, many books on curses, healing and deliverance and whilst I've had thousands of demons cast out, the key root issues didn't seem to be dealt with. After only a couple of days with your teaching, I have found amazing healing through the prayers, and in particular using vision to re-visit traumatic experiences of the past and see Jesus begin healing my wounded heart.

As an example I had a dream of a deep sea diver, slowly descending into the deep darkness of the ocean with no rope, I woke up in great fear. So I journalled this, and Jesus explained that the diving suit was my self-protection and vows and the heavy boots were my sins and that he was going to jump in to set me free and swim to safety. This is being fulfilled through your teaching.

For instance, after going through some of the prayers through vision, Jesus took me back to my childhood home, he took me through the house and upstairs into my parents bedroom. I saw myself standing next to their bed, they were asleep. I had a knife in my hand, and my hands were covered in blood. Then Jesus took me downstairs and out into the garden. We sat and chatted, and then I wiped my hands clean on his white robe. Amazing. This is only one instance.

I'm opening the eyes of my heart to see Jesus in everything I do, I can now sit for hours and see Jesus come and heal and speak. Incredible. Priceless. Glorious. My life is being transformed daily, from one degree of glory to another. Your teaching (divine flow, life in the spirit, journaling, etc) is vital to anyone who truly wants to become all that Jesus is. For the first time I have real hope that Jesus can (and is) setting me free. Thanks again.

I use Christian Leadership University's Prayers That Heal the Heart deliverance/counseling method. In order to receive this ministry, you will first need to order and thoroughly go through the How To Hear Gods Voice and Prayers That Heal the Heart DVDs and Seminar Workbooks. Deliverance and healing cannot come without learning to hear Gods voice. This is a must. More than likely, once you have gone through these, as stated in the above recommendations, God will heal you and you wont need other ministry. However, if you do, my recommended donation is $30 an hour for an individual and $50 an hour for a couple.
