Pastor Bill Chilcote Uses Prayers That Heal the Heart with his congregation, Pastoring My Father's House Ministries in McConnellsburg, PA.
After experiencing a weekend seminar with Communion with God, Mark Virkler approached us about having two volunteers go through Prayers That Heal the Heart. We were able to witness first-hand the step-by-step process of the Contributing Strands Worksheet. As we observed both women during the next month, there was definitely a change in them as they experienced true freedom from bondages.
Since the results were so life-changing, we decided to go to Buffalo and have Mark take us through a personal ministry time using PTHTH. Upon our return from New York, our church body saw changes within us and many had a desire to go through the counseling as well. Our willingness to participate in the PTHTH counseling seemed to ease their fears and apprehensions.
Using PTHTH can break off past hurts that continually haunt individuals. Through PTHTH, our congregation realizes that satan not only can put sickness on their bodies, but oppressions and other demonic spirits as well.
We have three teams that can counsel individuals through the Contributing Strands Worksheets.
Prayers That Heal the Heart is not a cure-all, but does wipe the slate clean. However, to maintain a healthy, spiritual life, an intimate relationship with God needs to be established. As individuals continue to journal and have communion with God, they experience a lasting freedom from life's bondages. We highly recommend PTHTH to all individuals seeking a closer walk with God.

Testimonies from Pastor Bills congregation
On a calm and cool September afternoon in 1982, I was involved in a tractor accident that took the life of one of the most precious loved ones in my life, my five-year-old son, Jeremy. From that day on, every thought of him would bring varying degrees of guilt and shame. I found the only way that I could deal with the guilt was to bury those thoughts deep in my being, never to talk about them, not even to my dear wife. I became very good at covering up my shame and not letting even those very close to me know the terrible guilt I felt inside. When my pastor told the congregation of the Healing of the Heart prayer ministry, I was interested, knowing I had other issues of guilt that needed dealt with but never thought for an instant that I would be freed from the inescapable guilt I have experienced for 20 years. As my pastor and another brother took me through the "Contributing Strands Worksheet," it became evident why I could never find relief from this horrific memory. It was the "I" part that was the problem, as I could not and cannot resolve this or any problem on my own. Moses told Joshua in Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the one who goes with you, He will not leave you or forsake you." When we came to the part in the worksheet where we were to picture where Jesus was during the scene, I asked the Holy Spirit to please show me where Jesus was during the accident. I then saw a vision of Jesus holding Jeremy on His lap, which will forever replace all the guilt and shame that I had suppressed for so long. The presence of God was so real and heavy that we all expected to see Jesus holding my son when I opened my eyes. One of the Websters definitions for guilt is "guilty conduct; wickedness," and yes, I did feel wicked and hated myself for a long time, but seeing Jesus holding my son freed me from the guilt I once had experienced. I cannot really express in words the freedom that I received that evening. I can tell you that this is the first time in 20 years that I have been able to have wonderful thoughts of my son on his birthday instead of guilt. I am free; those terrible flashbacks that I had once experienced are gone forever and have been replaced with His joy, His peace and His love, Glory to God. Thank You, Jesus.

When my pastor asked me if I wanted to go through healings of the heart, I told him that I didn't have any issues that needed addressed. "Well then," he said, "we can take care of that PRIDE issue!" After that I prayed about it and decided that it would be okay to go ahead with it (after all, what could it hurt?). My pastor's wife, Ann, and counselor Tammy guided me through this using Mark Virkler's Contributing Strands Worksheet. It turned out as I went down these papers that I indeed had many hidden issues that needed addressed and I never even realized that I was carrying around all these negatives in my life. I shed many tears, and laughter also, as I felt these burdens lift from my heart, and to this day they have never returned. You see, a positive picture of Jesus taking care of me replaced them. The old adage that time flies when you are having fun is true because the session had lasted 5 hours. Of course, it only seemed like it was a short while. After we were finished I tore up the worksheets to demonstrate that all that negative stuff was gone from my life never to return. (Praise God that it will never come back!) I now feel free to worship and praise God as the Holy Spirit leads. Thank You, Jesus, for Your love and grace.

I experienced a two-hour prayer ministry time with Pastor Bill. We worked through a Contributing Strands Worksheet on issues of anger, rebellion and rejection. Not only have I experienced great healing in these areas, but also I experienced emotional and physical healing in another area.
You see, I was in a car accident with a group of drinking teenagers and I injured my back. Just before the accident I had just switched places in the car with another person. That person was killed in the car accident and I have lived with extreme guilt ever since then. Not only that, my dads admonishing for our behavior added intense shame that also stayed with me. I have been through three back operations that have resulted in five fused disks and a great lack of mobility in my back. I was only able to bend over to touch my knees.
My guilt and shame had made me feel I deserved the pain, and in the past when I had been prayed for for healing, those praying said they felt something was blocking the healing from flowing. I now know it was the guilt and shame I was carrying. During the prayer ministry I repented for harboring both guilt and shame and then Pastor Bill cast out demons of both guilt and shame. I could feel each one leaving. As guilt left, I could feel a pulling down through my legs, and it finally left from the bottom of my feet.
What I noticed a few days later was that I had regained full mobility in my back. I am now able to touch my toes. I have been to my doctor since then, and he is amazed at the mobility I have. Praise God for setting me free emotionally, spiritually and physically.

Feelings of guilt had been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. In some way, I felt responsible for everything wrong or bad that happened. Some of my close friends and family would try and help me feel better by saying things such as, "Don't worry about it" or, "You didn't do anything" or, most commonly, "Just let it go!" I couldn't make them understand that I couldn't let it go! I didn't know how! Thoughts of guilt and worthlessness consumed a large portion of my life. I could feel it sweeping in on me in such a way that it would drown out everything else. It was very hard for my supportive, but non-guilt feeling, husband to understand. When his efforts to help seemed worthless he would become frustrated and give up. He would see me go over and over the same thing either out loud or in my mind and not be able to understand why things would bother me so much.
Others would use this as a form of control. If I felt as though someone would be "let down" or disappointed, I would do exactly what I felt they wanted. It would be worth it, just so no one would be upset with me.
I always assumed that this was just my personality. "That is just how I am," I used to say. "There isn't anything I can do about it."
The wake-up call came when I started to see the same things manifest in my daughter. She was only six years old and she was constantly worried about doing, thinking or saying something wrong! As time passed she even began to question if she really had accepted Jesus (that feeling of never being forgiven).
Watching my daughter go through this pain was a nightmare. I then understood how it felt to try and comfort someone who could not be comforted.
Thank God, this is not where the story ends!
When my daughter was eight years old, Mark Virkler came to minister to our church. After the daytime session our Pastor mentioned to me that they would be having a time of prayer in the evening and invited my husband and me to join.
That evening before service I asked Mark about nightmares that my daughter had been having. He began to explain that they may be coming from generational curses that had been passed down to her, possibly even in the womb. I had never heard anything like this before, but somehow deep inside me I knew this was the answer I had been looking for. It was time to begin service and we had to stop our conversation. As it turns out, the service that evening was an inner healing service (something else I knew nothing about). As Mark began to take our volunteer through the inner healing process, my spirit cried out from within me, this is it! I need to be set free!
I was quick to be the second volunteer! As the Holy Spirit walked me through the prayers that heal the heart, I began to see how this had been passed down from my Grandmother to my Mother to me, and now my daughter. The Holy Spirit showed me how satan had attached himself through lies to events that had taken place in my life. I began to see things clearly for the first time in my life! Through the prayers of repentance, release and deliverance I felt forgiven, truly forgiven! What a wonderful feeling! I was free from guilt! Free from condemnation!
I absolutely have experienced a freedom from guilt and condemnation. I didn't even realize how many of my decisions were based on guilt until I had been set free. Guilt is no longer the motivating factor behind my decisions.
That night generational curses were broken! The change in my daughter has been wonderful! When I see these things trying to attach themselves to her, I know that they are lies from the pit of hell and I have the truth of the Holy Spirit to defeat them with! My daughter is too young to completely understand, but I can see the difference and the nightmares have stopped! Praise God!
I have had the pleasure of walking several people through this life-changing experience since that night, and I have to tell you that I am still amazed every time! Amazed at the Greatness of our God! Amazed at the Gentleness of the Holy Spirit! Amazed at the Freedom that is found in Him!
