I devoured Neil Miller’s book, What If Listening to God Was Easy? The theme of this book has been my heart's passion for 40 years, and it is enjoyable, fun, and easy to read as it is filled with stories, just as Jesus’ teaching was.
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is stories of people hearing God’s voice, seeing visions, receiving and interpreting dreams, and releasing the power of God. Neil describes how all this is available today, and how these divine encounters work transforming wonders in people’s lives in Bangladesh. Neil’s ministry has moved from studies about Jesus to encounters with Jesus. He has learned that “If discipleship depends on my ability…then discipleship is hard. But if discipleship is showing people how they can live a life in conversation with Jesus, then discipleship is easy.”
Neil told me that the results he has seen have been “tremendously exciting and more fruitful than all my other efforts put together.” Though we are not all called to be missionaries as Neil is, we are all called to make disciples. Neil has given us practical insights into how we can be more effective in this high calling. I strongly encourage you to learn from him.
