O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endureth forever!
No matter what is going on in the world or in our personal lives, God’s people will always:
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD…!
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing!
Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise:
Be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations. (Ps. 100)
We are so blessed to have a time set aside each year to remind us to give thanks. It is all too easy to focus on the things that are wrong, the things we wish were different, and the things that we lack. But the psalmist encourages us to bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits (Ps. 103:2). When we keep our minds on all that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable, praise and thanksgiving will arise within us and our hearts and minds will be at peace (Phil. 4:7,8).
How can we contain our gratitude when we realize that the Most High, Who rules over the realm of mankind, lavishly loves us and is intimately involved in the details of our lives, actively causing everything to work together for our good? (Dan. 4:17, Jn. 3:16, Rom. 8:28) The One Who loves you the most is the One Who has all the power!
So this Thanksgiving, we are filled with gratefulness and praise to our God for Who He is and for all His blessings to us. And among our greatest blessings are you, our faithful supporters. We are so grateful for your love, prayers, and gifts throughout the year. We pray that this season will be a time of refreshing and joy for you as you rest in His peace.
