Happy New Year! It is with hearts full of faith that we look forward to 2022, and full of thankfulness for what Father has done this past year. It's been so rewarding to empower School of Ministry students in both the US and the UK. We have also received unprecedented opportunities to minister in Asia via Zoom doing translated sessions. We equipped believers in China through teachings in Mandarin as well as believers in Myanmar through teachings in Burmese.
We continue to be blessed by your testimonies of how Holy Spirit is using our resources in your lives. One precious leader in South Africa who is a monthly partner with Glory Waves Ministries sent a message this week: "Just opened your book on dreams when I saw your email. Probably reading it for the 9th time. I’ve never read a book twice, besides the Bible of course, but yours has such rich revelation I can use in every area of my life." Hallelujah!
It was an honor to have Elijah List share my Christmas Dreams article with their readers on December 24th. And I was grateful to receive a request from Shawn Bolz to share a word for the coming year as part of a prophetic collective he is putting together. I journaled out what I felt is on God’s heart and have included that below. I also recorded the prophetic word, so if you prefer to watch rather than read, you can view it here. What Is God Saying for 2022?
I am so excited about what God has in store for this coming year, 2022, the year of our Lord!
Father is inviting us all to have a holy expectancy, a hopeful confidence and joyful faith about what He is doing. Holy Spirit is encouraging us, saying: “As amazing as My presence has been in the past, as awesome as the miracles you’ve experienced so far have been, just know that you haven’t seen ANYthing yet!
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered the heart of man all that I have prepared for those who love Me, but I am revealing it to you by My Spirit (1 Cor. 2:9-10).
When you look around at the natural world, you might be tempted to get discouraged. Which is why I told you, don’t look at the things that are seen, look at the things that are unseen (2 Cor. 4:18). My Word explains that the mind set on the flesh – this natural realm – is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace (Rom. 8:5-6). Keep seeking those things above, where Christ is, seated in heavenly places, and see yourselves seated right there too (Col. 3:1-3; Eph. 2:6)!
Know that nothing has caught Me by surprise. I’m still on My throne (Ps. 2:4). I, the Most High, am still Ruler over the realm of mankind (Dan. 4:17). And more than anything else, I want you to trust Me, to simply know that I’ve got this. I, the Lord of Hosts, and My heavenly hosts, we’ve got this (Ps. 91:11-12). The company of heaven has your back, and we are working everything out for your good (Rom. 8:28).
You know I will keep you in perfect peace when your mind – and your imagination – is stayed on Me (Isa. 26:3). When you see Me at work behind the scenes, you are at peace. When you see My angels with you protecting you, you are at peace. When you see My glory collapsing and My kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven, you are at peace (Matt. 6:10).
So see that truth. Envision it. Imagine it! You can be confident that if you ask anything according to My will, I hear you, and if you know that I hear you in whatever you ask, you know that you already possess what you have asked of Me (1 Jn. 5:14-15). I promise you, I am doing exceedingly and abundantly more than you could ever ask or think, according to My power that is at work in you (Eph. 3:20)!
The heavens are Mine, but the earth I have given to you, the children of men (Ps. 115:16). You get to work together with Me to make your part of earth look just like heaven! You are My ambassadors and representatives (2 Cor. 5:20). You have already been given all authority in Christ, and I invite you to exercise it. This year, step more fully into your identity as supernatural royalty – living from heaven to earth, reigning in life, and serving and loving well (Rom. 5:17).
See yourself the way I see you: forgiven, anointed, empowered, favored, blessed. Your spirit is joined to Mine and you are a partaker of My divine nature (1 Cor. 6:17; 2 Pet. 1:4). You have been filled up to the fullness with My Spirit and all things are possible to you who believe (Eph. 3:19; Mk. 9:23). Nothing is impossible with Me, and I am with you (Lk. 1:37). I am for you! We are in this together, which means you have nothing to worry about! There is nothing you can’t do in partnership with Me (Phil. 4:13).
Come up here and look at life from My point of view. I see the end from the beginning, and it is so very good (Isa. 46:10). I give you glimpses of My perspective while you sleep (Ps. 16:7). I’m pouring out My Spirit and you will see more visions and dream more dreams (Acts 2:17). Through these revelations of the night I am showing you My vision and version of reality, and I want you to adopt that as your own.
Like Elisha and his servant, don’t be afraid of the armies that appear to be surrounding you (2 Kings 6:13-17). Instead, open the eyes of your heart to the spiritual reality: that it may look like you’re surrounded, but you are surrounded by Me (Ps. 34:7)! Those are angel armies encircled around you, and there are more with you than are against you. Always! You are never outnumbered. You are never alone (Heb. 13:5).
I‘m God. I don’t know how to fail. So believe Me when I tell you that your path is only going to get better, brighter, and more beautiful (Prov. 4:18). Because like I said, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
Our Prayer of Agreement
Amen! So let’s just pray into these promises together and come into agreement with what God has said:
Heavenly Father, we love You so much. Thank You for loving us. Thank You for sharing Your heart with us. We do have a holy expectancy about what You are doing in the earth today, in this hour, in this New Year. We say YES to it, God. We say YES to Your perfect purposes. We say YES to all Your prophetic possibilities and promises. We know Jesus said that the work of God is to believe, so we do believe, Father. We know that You can be trusted. Of course it’s true – You don’t know how to fail!
Thank You for the awesome plans You have for us, God, to give us a future and hope (Jer. 29:11). You are a good, good Father, and You’ve thought of everything! Before we even ask, You have already answered (Isa. 65:24). Thank You for Your dreams, thank You for Your angels. Thank You for adopting us as Your very own and making us supernatural royalty (Rom. 8:14-17). Teach us what that means and empower us to live it as our truth.
We purpose by Your grace and Spirit’s power to partner with You in bringing heaven to earth. Holy Spirit, show us the role You would have us play. We love doing life together with You, and we can’t wait for the supernatural adventures ahead. We see what You’re seeing, God, and it is glorious. Because we see what You see, we feel how You feel, and we are in perfect peace.
Thank You, God, for the unfolding journey that is living and walking by Your Spirit (Gal. 5:25). We see what You’re up to and we’re so grateful! We are moving from faith to faith, and grace to grace, and glory to glory (Rom. 1:17; 2 Cor. 3:18). And we thank You, Father, that 2022 is going to be our best year yet, in Jesus’ name… amen and amen!
