When I began to do two-way journaling in 1979, the Lord gave me a poem for the first time ever in my life, as far as I can remember. He was awakening creativity and right brain flow. Well, below is a poem received yesterday by Linda Burton. She posted it on the School of the Spirit Chatroom for the Prayers that Heal the Heart course. As Jesus is restoring her heart and restoring her self image, poetry is springing forth which describes the healing process.
Thank You, Lord, for Your healing and for Your restoring creative flow within us all!
Bird pooped on a fence, sun hatched you, that is your value.
Smiling, holding me in my mother's womb, was the SON'S coo.
Growing up with lots of dreams,
Then stepping into life was not what it seems.
Bumps, knocks, and dead-end bunny trails,
But wait, there is a new view where not all fails.
Faith, hope, love begin to come alive,
As the Master opens my heart and I start to thrive.
Seven prayers that heal the heart,
This is a good place to start.
Quieting myself and hearing God's voice,
His guidance leads me to this choice.
Taking each picture off the wall,
Jesus replaces it with a beautiful one where I would not fall.
Beauty for ashes was what He has given me.
He is making a new life for all to see.
A vessel for the Master to live out through,
Fills me with a life that is beautiful and true.
Jesus asked, "Narnie, will you have Me?"
I raced into His arms with glee.
Now I live a new life, filled with the Son up above.
A life with purpose, joy, and His glorious love.
Daily He says "Keep your eyes on Me".
That way He keeps me free.
As I listen to His voice and see His lead,
He opens my heart to those in need.
As we walk the path hand in hand,
My Lord Jesus will lead me where there is no sinking sand.
Jesus, You have set me free.
Thank You for loving me.
Narnie
