My family and I attend Love Joy Gospel Church in Buffalo, New
York. It is an Elim Fellowship church with Dr. Ron Burgio as pastor. I was
recently struck by the realization that this is the first church I have ever
attended in my 50 years that teaches and practices healing and deliverance in
the Sunday morning services.
Even when I pastored my own church, while I taught and practiced healing, I had
decided to teach on deliverance on Sunday mornings, but to practice it only in
private counseling sessions during the week. Deliverance can get a bit too
messy, you know. I think it is time for me to repent for my actions. If Jesus
could regularly practice public deliverance and healing, and it wasn’t too
untidy or primitive for Him, then I should be able to do the same.
I heard that last week Benny Hinn ministered deliverance to a woman on national
television, with some rather violent manifestations. Well, good for him! May we
all learn to follow in the steps of Jesus. Will you join with me and step up to
the plate and minister deliverance and healing publicly as Jesus did?
Prophetic
Gatherings in Washington, D.C.

The article below is from David Ruleman, a close friend of mine,
who has hosted several Communion With God seminars. He is the general manager of
WAVA, the number one Christian radio station in Washington, D.C., and he and his
wife live just a few miles from the capital building. Following is a report of
one of their monthly prophetic gatherings.
“On the last weekend of each month we go for 30 hours of worship and
intercession from 6:00 pm Friday night to midnight Sunday morning. Worship began
Friday night 7/26 at 6:00 PM. It lasted until Midnight Saturday 7/27. We were
into the 25th hour of worship when the thunder shook the building. Just before
7:00 the teens that make up Qadash were worshipping the Lord on the drums. We
could feel the change and it was as if there was a call to more intense warfare
intercession.
“As we asked the Lord for wisdom and words of intercession, the massive
thunderclap drowned out the drums. It was as if the Lord replied to our cries
for freedom for the region and His voice was in the thunder. Lighting actually
struck the building, putting out all the lights except in the worship areas.
There have been reports that lightening storms usually precede meetings where
the manifest presence of God is experienced. Worship attracts His presence and
blessing and the thunder and lightening were the signature of God.
“His presence intensified as we moved from Qadash into worship at The Gate.
The people moved to the front of the Brickyard as Holy Spirit came and set fire
to hungry hearts. As hearts began to melt, the worship filled the room. We
prayed for a release of vision, calling and destiny. The hunger for God was
intense and the living King Who gives us the desires of our hearts came and
satisfied the longing of our hearts to know Him more intimately and to hear His
voice more clearly.
“He broadened our understanding of 2 Corinthians 8:9 - ‘For you know the
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, He became poor so that
you, through His poverty might become rich.’ Jesus suffered the poverty of
lost relationship with the Father at the cross so that all of us might enjoy the
riches of open relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He became poor
so that we could share in His riches. He endured the cross for the joy set
before Him (Heb. 12:2).
“Worship filled the electrified atmosphere. Prophetic and spontaneous songs
opened a well for healing. With the music playing softly in the background we
talked about the divine exchange of Jesus on the cross. Jesus was made sin with
our sinfulness that we might be made righteous with His righteousness. He died
our death so that we could live eternally. He took our sickness upon Him in
exchange for healing in the atonement (Is. 53:4,5; 1 Peter 2:24; Ps. 103:2,3).
“Many came forward for healing and healing teams of two or three gathered
around each of them. Three people were instantly healed in the presence of the
Lord. We rejoice in the awesome work of the Lord in our midst as Jesus is
glorified. We worshipped and prayed for a release of healing, miracles and the
manifest presence of the Lord Jesus in the churches and the city region. Healing
and miracles flow from His presence and His presence is in worship and prayer.
“In this place of intimacy He hears our hearts and we hear His voice. One
woman began to sing the prayer of Jabez (1 Chron. 4:10): ‘Bless me, Oh Lord.
Increase my territory. That Your hand would be upon me. That You would keep me
from evil.’ The words began to move upon the hearts of the people. It was if
He was answering even as we were asking. People began to pray specifically for
increased territory, especially in the knowledge of Him. There was a release of
increased anticipation of fulfilled prayer and destiny. Ministry teams moved
through the people, blessing what God was bringing forth. One woman said she
felt like prophetic words were being fulfilled. Others, through visions or
impressions, confirmed and agreed. Faith increased in everyone.
“One read from Isaiah 54:2,3 ‘Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your
tent curtains wide, do not hold back, lengthen your cords, strengthen your
stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left, your descendants
will dispossess the nations and settle in their desolate cities.’ Washington,
D.C. will no longer be desolate but will be a place of worship of the Lord.
Spiritual sons and daughters will lift up His name. He referred to the ‘gates
of crystal’ in verse 12. Another likened the gates of crystal to transparency
before the Lord and before men such that people would begin to see Jesus in His
people. Another read Revelation 22 concerning the ‘river of the water of life,
as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the
middle of the great street of the city.’ Along its banks were the trees whose
leaves were for the healing of the nations.
“While we understand the direct implications and context of the Scripture, we
believe Holy Spirit is opening new levels of anointing in this city-region and
for the people of God in this area. We are praying for the increase of His
manifest presence in every congregation and setting. We believe raising up the
level of worship and bridal intercession will continue to create a welcome
atmosphere in the city-region for a new level of revelation of the knowledge of
the Lord and for release of the word of the Lord, His presence, healing and
power. We are praying for you at The Gate every Saturday night!”

Dream
Interpretation - The Gold and White Box

“Dream: There was a very large box
beautifully wrapped mostly in gold with some white. I knew it was for Steve.
“Meaning: This is an objective dream, for and about someone else. There
was a large gift that was going to be given to Steve and for some reason the
Lord wanted me to be aware of this. The color is important because it is
Steve’s 50th year, typically represented by the color gold, meaning jubilee or
release. (I asked Steve what these symbols meant to him because it was a dream
for him so he holds the understanding of the symbols.)
“Effect on my life: This dream came the night before we were taking a
major trip driving out to Winnipeg and I did not particularly want to go. This
dream brought a lot of fun into our trip. Whenever we pondered what the gift
was, we giggled. While in Winnipeg, Steve received a call from the Content
Director of the TV show ‘It’s a New Day’ asking us to come in for a taped
interview about our interest in dreams with the host of the show, Willard
Thiessen. I knew immediately that the gold and white gift had been delivered…a
very large gift of release for Steve…the show is aired nationally.
“This dream gave me an excitement about something I did not really want to do.
It brought fun into our lives as we lived with the expectation of watching what
God was about to do. It resulted in an improved relationship with my husband. I
also prayed for Steve more as a result of this dream.”

Feel Like a Cracked Pot

“Jennie: I feel like a cracked water pitcher and I
cannot imagine why You would want to keep a cracked water pitcher in service
when You can use one that is not cracked.
“God: I have missed our time together. There are so many things that I
want to teach you but even more than that, I simply want to reveal My love to
you in a way that you have not yet experienced. Remember how Jack suggested that
you had never really learned how to be My daughter? This is what I want you to
focus on because this is where your heart is still damaged.
“As you grow in Me and you become more secure in My love, ministry will
overflow from your relationship with Me — not from anything you’ve been
taught formally or even by Jan. I am your Father and I want you to know Me as
your Father, not as your employer or an uncaring foster parent. I know that
others have misrepresented Me but draw close to Me and see what I’m really
like.
“I speak to My children in many ways. Sometimes word pictures are helpful for
them to understand something in a deeper way, but don’t get hung up on them.
Your understanding of the cracked water pitcher does not take into account My
sovereignty. I am able to work beyond your understanding of that image. In the
natural mind, who would have believed that I could turn water into wine? Who
would have believed that I could part the Red Sea? Who would have believed that
Daniel’s life could be spared in the lion’s den? My ways and My wonders defy
human logic and human understanding. Why do you look to man to confirm My call
in your life? It is I that called you, not them. I am not limited by man-made
systems or human popularity.
“Just a couple of weeks ago I asked you to share with the Jr. Highers at camp,
but it was I Who provided that opportunity, not man. You had nothing to do with
the planning of that, neither did anyone else there. The important thing about
this is that I asked you to share and you responded with obedience. I used you
because your life is a testimony of My love, My faithfulness, My grace; and
because you were willing. I will continue to use you, just stay willing to be
used and listen for My voice. Sometimes My voice will only be a gentle whisper,
so listen carefully.
“I know that you get hung up on your past failures, but when you focus on them
you are not focusing on the sacrifice I made to cover those failures. You cannot
do a thing to change the past but you can keep the past from being repeated by
walking in righteousness and truth and keeping your eyes on Me. Do you really
believe that any of your failures are bigger than the provision of the cross?
“Jennie: Lord, I know that there are still wounded places in my heart
that need to be healed by You. Would You reach in and make them whole?”
God’s
Voice Turns Jonathan Hindsley into a Prophetic Author
“In May of 2000 you were at Trevor and Sharon Baker’s church
in Dudley, England teaching on ‘Communion with God.’ Prior to hearing you
teach, it had never occurred to me that it was possible to tune to flow and
write down what God was saying, and as a ‘left brainer,’ at first I thought
that this was not for me, but I decided to have a go anyway. I struggled a bit
at first but then found, to my surprise, that I did start hearing from God.
“After the weekend I continued to experiment with journaling and one day
opened my Bible at the Song of Solomon. I asked the Lord the question, ‘What
does it mean for You to kiss me with the kisses of Your mouth?’ I got an
answer, so I continued with the next verse, and the next, and the next, until
eventually I completed all eight chapters. The result was a book of 28,000 words
which I have called Come Away With Me. Following is a brief
excerpt from the book.
“Song 2:7
“Bride: What does verse seven mean, Lord? Why should the daughters not
stir up love until it pleases?
“Jesus: Love for Me will become a consuming fire in you. My love is not
something you can trifle with or take lightly. If you say ‘yes’ to Me, it
will consume your whole life. I will not awaken love in you until you give Me
permission, but believe Me, when you do say ‘yes’ to Me, things will never
be the same again. You will never be able to go back to what was. Once you have
tasted the new wine of My love, the old will never satisfy. Be warned, you will
be ‘ruined.’ Religion will not satisfy, the world will not satisfy, for when
love is awakened in you it will cry out for Me. You will become love sick for Me
and only I will satisfy.
“Do you want to be like this? Do you really want this? Do you want a passion,
a consuming fire burning within you? Think carefully. No, do not think. If your
heart, your soul, your spirit cries out ‘yes’ then say ‘yes,’ and I will
come and awaken love in you. But that is why I warn the daughters of Jerusalem
not to awaken love until it pleases, for there will be no going back to that
which was before.
“Song 6:5-7
“Bride: Why should I turn my eyes from You, Lord?
“Jesus: Your eyes have overcome Me. Your eyes are beautiful. They are
the windows to your soul. As I look deep into your eyes, I see deep into you. I
see who you really are, who I created you to be. I see the real you as I look
into your spirit. Your spirit is the real you created in My image. As I look
beyond the outward shell I am overcome by your glorious beauty, My bride. You do
not know who you are, My bride, but you will one day, when your glory is
revealed - not only to the world but to you yourselves.
“You are so incredibly beautiful and perfect. You are the perfection, the
height, the supreme act of creation. There is no one to compare with you. You
alone in all of creation are suitable as a bride for Me. Your beauty overwhelms
Me as I gaze into your eyes, My love, for I see who you really are.
“One day the whole of creation, and the whole of heaven, will stand in awe of
you, My bride, as you stand at My side clothed in the glory that once was
Adam’s. I long for that day when you shall be revealed to the world, when I
lift the veil from your face and your beauty, your glorious beauty, shall shine
forth as you stand beside Me in My Father’s kingdom, My lover and My bride.
You will indeed be lovely as Jerusalem, the New Jerusalem, that glorious city
coming down from heaven to be My dwelling place on the earth forever. I can’t
wait, My bride, I can’t wait for that day. Turn your eyes from Me until it is
time, for you overwhelm Me with your beauty, My love.’”
