Standing Against Sickness and Sin – Mark Virkler
Several prophetic words have been spoken recently about an attack of sickness upon spiritual leaders. I know of half a dozen strong spiritual speakers and leaders who are fighting cancer or had heart attacks and are fighting for their lives.

As I have listened, I have felt the Lord saying that satan will attack each of us at our weakest point and try to pull us down. Therefore we are to strengthen ourselves in the Spirit and especially strengthen ourselves in the areas where we know we are weak, so satan can have no inroads to destroy us.

Peter Daniels from Australia tells how to “write a weakness out of one’s life.” He recommends that you sit down and visualize all the ways a failure in this area would devastate and bring pain into your life. Visualize and describe how it will hurt you, your family, your friends, your ministry and your Lord. Be as detailed and descriptive as possible because this forms a powerful picture which in turn creates intense energy that drives you away from the sin or weakness and into the strong arms of the Lord. He says that he wrote 12 pages one day, and through these 12 pages he was able to write a life-long problem completely out of his life.

Physical health requires taking in good nutrition (including a great superfood), exercising, cultivating healthy thoughts, and much, much more which we talk about in our course “Take Charge of Your Health” which I highly recommend to all. At the very least, you should read our book “Go Natural.”

I also have a file on my computer of “Health Ideas” which I send out to anyone requesting it that describes alternative and biblical approaches to fighting cancer and other diseases. You owe it to yourself to study and apply biblical principles of health care, and to rid your life of weak areas where satan could attack you and bring you down. The warning we hear is that we are entering a dangerous time. So protect yourself now!

Two-way Journaling Blogs – An Anointed Idea from Uta Milewski (Buffalo, NY)
“Since taking Communion with God, I have enjoyed journaling, but I’ve often wondered if what God was speaking was just for me or for others, too. It’s been frustrating to keep it to myself, but I didn’t know what to do. About a month ago I found the book God Calling. When I began to read, God’s presence came, and I realized how others could be blessed by what God speaks to me, because I was so blessed by that book.

“So in August I began to publish my journaling in a blog. At first I didn’t tell anyone about it, but time and again situations arose with the people around me that one of the blogs addressed. So I began to e-mail the link to friends. Now I am finding that it is a blessing to those who are reading it.” (utamilewski.blogspot.com)

Mark’s suggestion – Click on Uta’s website above and read a few of her journal entries. You may also want to pray about whether God wants you to create a journaling blog. Make sure your spiritual advisor reviews your journaling entries so only pure rhema is posted. (Also, since Uta is secretary to the Senior Pastor at LoveJoy Gospel Church, you will find a link on her website to LoveJoy, which is where our family attends.)

Journaling from Rev. Steve C. Stutz
“Don’t you remember all the time we spent talking about your getting out of the parish? I love you and Krista so much that I have been arranging life to bring into being all the circumstances that will be necessary for you to thrive in the land I will give to you. It took 40 years for my people to be prepared to enter their land—and I have been using each day to move you a step closer to where I want you ultimately. Where you are now is where you must be during this season. Your mentors are all around you if you will only open your eyes. Look and listen as much as you can while I have you here.

“Steve, I know that you have areas in your make-up that I need to strengthen before you will have faith enough to step out of the dead security you now enjoy into the living abandon of my arms. You have inherited from your parents a set of fears that I am breaking off of you. You really need to believe that I am good, and that I really will take care of you—without the fortune of your parents—that what I am calling forth in your life will be the best yet. Do not lay foundations and build great houses when you are only a sojourner in this place.

“Prepare yourself for the move that I am bringing about. Krista is very correct to say you must move out of the rut in the road you have been walking. Use the days you have now to drink deeply of Me. Share your experiences with those around you. You are doing a great job of passing on my things to your people.

“You were tuning into my presence last night when Janet was praying for Benny’s knee. As you mentored her, you were only doing and saying what you sensed I was doing. As you used the eyes of your spirit, you saw me behind him, you saw my hand on his knee. This is why her second attempt was much more powerful than the first. You directed her to connect with me first.

“I am honoring your desire to use the senses to minister. I was giving you words last night, but you were distracted by the TV! Your ears are not that sensitive yet to do both. I am very well pleased with you. I can’t tell you how much I love you—I have to show you that by my death. You are going to make it. All will be well. I am with you—keep walking on!”

Orlando Figueiredo – “I am happy to report that ‘Communion with God’ has now been taught in Fiji, and was very well received by the Bible college students where I taught. We had some excellent journals from the students, who also began spreading the teaching among their local Fijian friends.”

Tim Koop – “Hi Mark. My wife Val and I first saw you on “It’s a New Day” aired in Winnipeg, Canada earlier this year. You were a very interesting speaker and you also had some very interesting things to say about hearing from God. It gave us a lot to think about, but what made me decide to put some action into it was your guarantee. I thought that was such an outrageous thing to say that I had to take you up on it. So we bought Dialogue with God and read that, along with a lot of the other free stuff available on your website. We convinced our cell group to study this topic and so we are currently going through your new DVD videos every Thursday.

“Of course, this message is completely life-changing. Over the months that we have been dialoguing, it’s like our Christian life has finally begun. I can’t imagine how we ever lived before we learned how to hear from God regularly. So thank you for getting this message out and teaching us how to hear God’s voice.

“I would like to say that the blessings I have received already from REN503 are AWESOME. God is so good! My relationship with the Lord has grown to a level I could not have imagined even a year ago. Dialoging with God and looking for vision have made me feel like a child, wanting to learn and experience more every day.”

Mike Blackburn – “I have been blessed with a pastor who is a friend and counselor and who has given me the opportunity to share my experience through messages at my church. The September 10th message is based on ‘Hearing God is as easy as...’” (www.tgpcommunity.org/message.htm)

Rev. Steve C. Stutz – “Mark – I was reading St. Teresa of Avila’s Interior Castle this morning. She begins the work thusly:

WHILE I was beseeching Our Lord to-day that He would speak through me, since I could find nothing to say and had no idea how to begin to carry out the obligation laid upon me by obedience, a thought occurred to me which I will now set down, in order to have some foundation on which to build.’

“St. Teresa, looking for rhema from God with which to fulfill an obligation she couldn’t do on her own, focuses her attention (vision) on ‘Our Lord’ and ‘a thought occurred’ (spontaneous flow begins) which she then ‘set down’ in writing (journaling) which became one of the foundational books of mystical theology in the western church.”

Humor Heals
Add this one to your billboard list...a local church posted it after the recent Hurricane Ernesto rains: “Kinda makes that Noah thing seem more real, doesn’t it?”

Monastery Life: A young monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand. He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new monk goes to the head abbot to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up! In fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies.

The head monk, says, “We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son.” He goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the original manuscripts are held as archives in a locked vault that hasn’t been opened for hundreds of years. Hours go by and nobody sees the old abbot.

So, the young monk gets worried and goes down to look for him. He sees him banging his head against the wall and wailing, “We missed the ‘R’! We missed the ‘R’!”

His forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably. The young monk asks the old abbot, “What’s wrong, father?” With a choking voice, the old abbot replies, “The word was...
