Mark Virkler Is Going to India for Two Weeks of Videotaping!
We have an incredible opportunity to touch India by videotaping through a translator our key messages of Communion With God, Prayers That Heal the Heart, Christian Dream Interpretation, Counseled by God and more. I (Mark Virkler) will be in India the last week of November and the first week of December for this videotaping marathon. A friend of ours, Tim Taylor, has a put together a video recording studio with translators specifically to take the prophetic voices of the Church to the people of India. He has invited me to be a part of his vision and I am honored to have this opportunity.
From Tim Taylor: Right now, we have 15 official International Schools of Ministry (ISOM) with 175 registered students. But, for lack of exact numbers and names, I have not included 32 schools started with Indian Evangelical Team that have approximately 3000 pastors and leaders. Our goal has been to partner with major church networks to provide their leaders with systematic training in the languages they need. This is what was accomplished in China and the result was 36,000 leaders trained in about a 3 year period.
We are now developing this kind of partnership with 5 groups that have a total of about 7500 churches. That would correspond to 225,000 believers. The amazing thing is that although these are five of the major networks, there are hundreds of smaller networks that respond to us everywhere we go. So India is a place of tremendous potential seated beside tremendous need. In the Indian state of Bihar alone, there are 87 million people and 43,000 unreached villages. This state is also one of our focal points and almost all the groups we work with have something going there. One of them has 98% of its work there.
India is #1 in the world in two categories; Unevangelized People and Unreached People Groups. The diversity of India is incredible as well. We have either translated or are in the process of translating the ISOM into 15 languages for use here. And we are working on more! We use an evangelistic video called The God Story in 37 languages. And we need more! India is indeed a world in itself!
One of the most amazing testimonies of the fruit of the ISOM training is as follows: After they completed their training, a school of 27 students in New Delhi planted a total of 42 new churches. Twenty-six of the students planted one church each and 1 of them planted 16 churches. Talk about activation of ministry gifts!! We have many smaller but equally precious testimonies of workers and evangelists being called into active service once they began to be trained through a video Bible School in their local church.
By producing Marks teachings in a bilingual video format (English with a Hindi translator), we will be able to easily translate this into other Indian languages and bring the spiritual revelation God has given Mark to the literate and illiterate masses we are seeking to impact.
