almost $70! CLU Course of the Month – “Developing the Leader Within”
God has promised that those who hear and obey His voice will be above and not
beneath, the head and not the tail, that all that we put our hands to will
prosper. Here at CLU we strongly believe that Christians who live out of the
voice of God will rise to positions of leadership in whatever area the Lord has
called them to. God wants to make you a leader where He has placed you!
But there is a growing and sanctifying and molding process we must submit to
before we are ready for the responsibilities of leadership. We have just
released a new course, LEA303 Developing the Leader Within, which is designed to
help you develop the attitudes, skills and character traits you will need to
become the leader God has called you to be. You may need to establish new
patterns of thought and action, and break old habits that have been keeping you
back, but if you truly devote yourself to the requirements of this course, you
will be a more effective and successful leader at the end of it!
All students who pay full price for CLU courses will receive a 25% discount on
books and tuition for the course LEA303 if you order it during the month of
November 2005. Financial aid students will receive a 10% discount (in addition
to the financial aid discount) on LEA303 books and tuition. Download

A
CLU student, who is a pastor, shares his journaling…
Hello, Father. I come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ my Lord and
Savior. Father, I love, worship and adore You in the mighty name of Jesus. To
You, Father, be all honor, glory, majesty, dominion and power. You are the Lord
of Hosts and I worship You. Father, thank You for a good day with my wife and
kids. I commit all of this day to You. O Lord, open my eyes so that I may see
and experience You in Your fullness. Fight for me, O Lord. Don’t allow me to
run off doing a bunch of stuff in the flesh.
Father what are You saying to me about xxx’s behavior today? Lord, I have
invested much in him and now he wants to quit. He is becoming a major
distraction, almost to the point of being demonic during prayer times and praise
sessions.
Reginald, remember what I have taught you. Always be for the individuals and
turn them over to Me. Never come against them or accuse them. You may state your
concerns but don’t accuse. In the matter of xxx, nothing you can say can
convince him to change his course of actions. Only smile and pray My blessings
on him and then go on about your business. I will deal with his pride and
willfulness and woundedness.
Reginald, don’t place ownership on any person. They all belong to Me. If they
feel like they want to leave, let them leave. Yes, you can shepherd them but let
them go. I will deal with them. Your destiny isn’t tied up in them and what
they give or don’t give and how they serve or don’t serve. I am your life.
Reginald, I am your Protector. I have fought battles for you that you know about
and that you do not know about. Just like Abraham. Reginald, I have too much
invested in you just to allow you to fall by the wayside or fail. I know your
heart and I am even forming and shaping your heart in all matters. O Reginald,
don’t close your heart. Keep it open to Me and to people. This is how I
created you to live and to flow. Keep your spirit open.
Forgive everyone of everything. O My son, people will sin on you. They will
accuse and disappoint you. This is all a part of life and the training process.
But you keep walking and keep coming to Me for healing. I am the Lord your God
that heals you of all your diseases, sickness, and heartaches.
Reginald, take your eyes off all people and look unto Me as your Source of life.
Don’t look at man’s resources at all. Look to Me. Pray to Me and when you
pray, pray in confidence and assurance that I hear you and I will answer you. I
love you, My child, and I am proud of you. I am using you and I will continue to
use you. Only come to Me in all matters: small and great. Don’t be afraid.
Come! Come! Come! This is the eternal cry. Come when you are up and come when
you are down. Come when you are filled and come when you are hungry. Come. Come
when you have no money. Come and buy and eat even when you have no money. Come
and allow your currency to be faith, My faith that is within you. Come!
Reginald, your assignment is clear. Don’t deviate from it. I am going to use
you to impact the world with the message of union with Christ. O My child, it
will not be a message that is one of simply a doctrine. No, it will be a message
of Union for the Sake of Communion…. Too many people have made my union
message complicated by making it a doctrine to be studied and figured out rather
than a revelation to be lived out. This is why I sent you to CLU: I want you to
learn how to live out union in all areas of life and hear My voice.
Therefore, My child, your assignment is still to simply focus on your studies
and prayer—journaling and an awareness of My presence at all times and
Corporate Prayer—then live out what you are learning and teach it to your
family and to the Church. This is how vision will come to you and to others and
this is how lives will change. Reginald, take your time and lay a good
foundation. Don’t skip around and try to teach and preach to entertain and to
draw or keep a crowd. Simply give what I am giving to you in simplicity and
faith and watch My Spirit raise up an army through you.
Lord, please give me a picture of what tomorrow’s service will look like.
Speak to my heart concerning tomorrow’s service.
Reginald, the picture is that of a gentle wind and a cool breeze blowing on a
scorching hot summer day. This breeze refreshes people. That is what your
ministry is and is to become more of: a ministry of refreshment and a ministry
of healing. I am releasing the 5 streams of Luke 4:18 upon your ministry through
the Anointing of the Holy Spirit: Evangelism, Counseling, Deliverance, Healing
and Benevolence.
Reginald, simply know this, you can’t manufacture the cool breeze blowing in
tomorrow’s service any more than you could manufacture a cool breeze outside.
The wind blows where it wills and so does My Spirit. I am choosing to make My
Spirit blow upon you. I am answering the prayer of your heart to be filled with
the Holy Spirit and to minister under the power of the Holy Spirit. You are
simply to relax, let go, keep your eyes off people and their responses and do
what I have told you to do and flow from the Holy Spirit’s River.
Love, Abba!
Doctoral-level
mathematics received through a dream?–
Susan Hertz
It was in 1995 that my husband Roger Hertz was working on his Ph.D. thesis in
aerospace engineering. He was working on robotics and the title of his thesis
was “Kinematics and Design of a Class of Parallel Manipulators.” Obviously a
lot of math is needed for the control of the parallel manipulators; the only
trouble was the math was not working as well as Roger needed it to be.
It was during a dream one night that Roger got the equation he needed to control
his robot. He got up and began writing down what he was getting. This math he
got in his dream led to a 33-page equation at the end of his thesis. At the
front of his thesis Roger stated, “I would like to thank God for giving me
constant wisdom, guidance and strength.” He got a lot of flak for this
statement, especially from his supervisor, but he never wavered.
Humor
IS good medicine!
One balmy day in the South Pacific, a navy ship espied smoke coming from one of
three huts on an uncharted island. Upon arriving at the shore they were met by a
shipwreck survivor. He said, “I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve been alone
on this island for more than five years!”
The captain replied, “If you’re all alone on the island, why do I see three
huts?”
The survivor said, “Oh. Well, I live in one, and go to church in another.”
“What about the third hut?” asked the captain.
“That’s where I used to go to church.”
