Order today! Making Divine Healing Work – Testimony by Kevin Stock, Ebensburg, PA In August of this year, I went with Randy Clark's team to Londrina, Brazil. Prior to this trip, we had taught from his ministry training manual and the method of praying for the sick was taken from that training. On Sunday evening, August 24th, about 20 of the team went to a Presbyterian church for the Sunday evening service. Several words of knowledge were given to various team members and people came forward to receive prayer for healing. As there were about 300 people in attendance and only about 20 team members to pray, this took some time. After praying for three other individuals, with visible results, I came to a young woman about 30 years old, who was completely deaf in her right ear and only had about 30% hearing in her left ear. She had been deaf for a number of years due to some sort of sinus problem. The method that we were taught was to begin to interview the person, through an interpreter: “What is your problem? How long have you had it? Can you pinpoint a cause? Did anything traumatic happen to you at the time that the infirmity began?” I then began to pray for her, just a general sort of prayer: “Come, Holy Spirit.” I prayed for her for probably three or four minutes, then stopped and asked her if anything was happening. She said, “No.” Again I began to pray and to just speak healing to her. Sometimes I would go into praying in tongues. Again after several minutes we stopped and asked her if she sensed anything. She said there seemed to be a little bit of difference in her left ear, so I continued to pray in a general way. As I was praying, she had her eyes closed, so I reached over and snapped my fingers right next to her right ear and I noticed that her eyelids fluttered as though she heard it. We asked her again if she sensed anything. She thought maybe there was a little bit of change in her right ear. I continued to pray generally, also speaking healing over her and praying in tongues. After several minutes I asked her again, and she said she didn't notice any difference. It was then that I felt the Lord telling me to grab hold of her face. I wasn't sure if this was the Lord, so I told the interpreter what I sensed. The interpreter said, "Then do it!" I took her face in both of my hands and began to pray. In probably less than a minute, she yelled something out and got a big smile on her face. I asked her what was happening and she said she felt something pop and both of her ears were completely healed. She was so excited, she started jumping up and down. The leader of our group saw this and had her come up front and share her testimony. This certainly built faith in those waiting to be prayed for, and I saw several more amazing healings after that. Note from Mark Virkler: I notice in the above testimony several key principles in operation (as listed in “The Healing Toolbox”): 1) Welcoming the Holy Spirit's presence; 2) Releasing divine power through touching the exact spot that needs healing (remember the deafness came as the result of a sinus problem); 3) Going back to deal with the root of the infirmity; 4) Taking time in prayer; 5) Listening to and following the leading of the Holy Spirit; and 6) Getting feedback regularly. Andy McDonald - YWAM Director, Jamaica: Communion With God changed my life when I took a course at the Cambridge Christian Training Center in Ontario, Canada in 1989. I was so excited to find your website and hear that the message continues to spread around the world. I am now serving in Jamaica with YWAM. My wife and I are the directors of one of the two YWAM bases here in Jamaica. Our primary ministry is to orphaned and abandoned children. We have two foster homes here on the base and work with other children's homes in our area. I tell you all this to ask...... As two of our foster sons are in their final year of high school they are looking for what is next for them. As I have been praying and seeking God on this with them, CLU came to mind. I am wondering if a foster home (or a YWAM base, for that matter) could set up a training school wherein our foster children would be jointly enrolled with it and CLU. College training is out of reach financially for most of our community and especially for the wards of the state. Your website indicates that churches can start these schools using your curriculum but our setting is that of a YWAM base with foster homes. Is that a possibility? (Answer from Mark Virkler is “Yes!”) As I have prayed, I have begun to wonder if this might be for more than just our few foster children but might also be something we could encourage other children's homes to participate in. The young people could be trained as Christian Entrepreneurs, amongst other things. What a tremendous difference this would make in this nation's future! The former outcast children rightly handling the Word of God as they build kingdom businesses and ministries! Needless to say this has struck a chord of excitement in me. Journaling from Jeffrey Struss, Jr. - Baltimore, MD Here's my latest journal entry in relation to “the anointing of God” and “revival.” “Speak to me, Jesus.” “Empty vessels are the best for My use. When you know there's nothing in you except room for Me then I can really use you. Many men forget that the river comes from My throne. They act as though it is of them. Every good thing comes from Me. This revelation cannot be taught but rather it must be branded onto your very soul. My finger must burn these things onto your heart. “You have been called to be an altar, Jeff. Holy and apart. Not with righteousness derived from the law, but one derived from grace and intimacy with Me. My anointing is guarded, for as you know, the anointing is not a “thing”; it is Me. I am entrusting you with Me. I am looking for friends. I do not entrust Myself to everyone for I know what is in a man. Walk to Jerusalem with Me and then on up to Calvary. Go ahead.” “I feel small next to You.” “I am looking for a friend that I can trust with My anointing. Revival is not so far away as everyone thinks. Press into Me. You will see. About three years ago I stumbled on to your website by way of an internet search. I don't remember what I was looking for, but at your site I felt like I had unearthed a rich cache of treasure. Thank you for making so much teaching available for download. Your article “You Can Hear God's Voice” was the beginning for me of a much more consistent, intimate relationship with the Lord. Your teaching along with training in Theophostic Ministry has enabled me to teach many others to hear from the Lord. Today, I have a confident expectation that when I tune in asking the Lord what He wants to reveal to me personally, or to a counselee in a prayer ministry session, that He will speak. I looked at the seminar guide for “Prayers That Heal the Heart” and I knew I needed to learn more. I was so eager to discover what you were teaching that I read it online in Spanish, amazed at how much the Lord helped me to understand beyond my normal reading comprehension. “Restoring Health Care as a Ministry” was another of the first articles I read as I have been trained as a Health Minister with Hallelujah Acres. We overcame a health crisis in our family through returning to God's way, eating a natural, whole food diet. Our victory opened the door to a health ministry seven years ago. It gave me such great joy to learn of someone else with a ministry to the whole person, body, soul and spirit. In September, I awoke one morning with a vivid dream in which I knew the Lord was speaking to me. Before this I rarely paid attention to my dreams. I pulled out your article “Christian Dream Interpretation” and prayerfully worked my way through the dream to understand what the Lord was saying. He was speaking to me about areas He wanted to bring healing to. Thank you for your teaching that is bringing such blessing to my life. I've been able to encourage others to prayerfully seek the Lord concerning His messages through dreams as well. At the end of May I e-mailed you asking if you had any resources for teaching a healthy lifestyle in Spanish. You responded and also included some of your notes on Agnes Sandford's book, The Healing Light. Honestly, at the time it went right over my head (and heart!). But, the fact that we were moving in two days may have had something to do with that! I just came back to those notes a couple of weeks ago. I am in a church that has just begun to move in the River since two years ago when we got a new pastor. We have been learning how to pray for the sick and afflicted with the expectation of healing. We have had special anointed speakers, and then after they leave we carry on the best we can, trying to continue in what we were taught. As a leader/teacher in my church I have tried to encourage my students to press in to the Lord with expectation. However, I'm barely a step ahead to have them follow me as I follow the Lord. To compound the issue, I'm more left-brain dominant with a bunch of right-brained students who readily see pictures and "sense" things differently than I. Rarely do I "feel" or "see" anything when I pray for people. I just "know" what to pray and God shows up, Hallelujah! After reading your notes on The Healing Light and “How to Release God's Healing Power Through Prayer" I have begun to feel the healing anointing of the Lord like never before. I actually feel tingling and energy in my hands and arms as I pray for people. That's been really exciting! I'm working on tuning in and then waiting to see the anointing on a person. I didn't do that before, and that explains to me why often nothing happened the first time I prayed. When I first read your articles on the Lamad teaching style I knew it was right on, but I'm very good at collecting and imparting head knowledge. I burned out on teaching Precept studies because I would spend several hours a week preparing my "presentation" and I was missing out on the personal application of the Scriptures to my life. This past year we have focused on training for healing ministry using a training manual called, "Prayer Ministry for Ordinary People" by Bill & Barbara Cassada and going through Neil Anderson's "Steps to Freedom in Christ." I was crying out to the Lord for training on how to make our times together more practical and hands-on rather than just learning the facts. I kept saying to the Lord, "I don't know how to lead a group like that." One day shortly after that the Lord just showed up and released prophecy among the women. When someone was hurting physically or emotionally, we prayed and God healed. It was awesome. As a group we are learning to join God where He is at work. I have heard anointed teachers say that one of the ways to increase the anointing in your life is to get under the teaching of those even more anointed in the same area of your giftings. I see your ministry as moving in the same direction the Lord is moving me, and I want to "catch" some things from you and the faculty at Christian Leadership University.
