New Years Resolution
Did you make any New Years Resolutions this January? If youre like most of us, I imagine they might have included something like: Lose weight. Get back in shape. Take better care of my body. This is what Patricia Cain had to say after taking the 30 Day Challenge which is part of the HEA102 Take Charge of Your Health course:

During the month of October 2007, as I read the book entitled Fast Your Way to Health by Lee Bueno-Aguer, I started to cry as I read the chapter entitled Eating to Live or Living to Eat. I realized that I was sinning by not taking care of my bodythe temple of the Holy Ghost. I would see 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 as clear as day, which states: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I asked the Lord to forgive me for abusing His temple. As I recalled the events leading up to my reading this book and taking the class, Take Charge of Your Health, which was about June 2007, I could not walk from my car to Wal-mart or the mall without getting out of breath. I felt bad and tired all the time. I thought I was dying.

In church, I could not jump and shout as I love to do in praising God. And I was constantly praying to God to please dont let me die before the congregation. As I drove in my vehicle, I was praying Lord dont let me kill myself or anyone else on the highway. My family did not know how sick I really was. Even though I was taking medication, my blood pressure continued to rise (190/101); I felt as if my life was over and crashing right in upon me. I even had a dream that I got angry with my husband and fell dead in the kitchen. It was the tears of my youngest grandchild which revived me. She said to me, Dont die, grandma! And I promised her I would not.

I could not get that dream out of my mind. When I went to my doctor, he increased my blood pressure medications. I told my doctor that I was going to take charge of my own health. He did not respond. The increased medication was not working, my pressure was still elevating and I felt lousy. I started praying for strength to do what I had to do to get well and walk in divine health. On August 29, 2007, my youngest son-in-law gave me a jar of pure coconut oil as a birthday gift. I started taking a tablespoon of it twice a day and within weeks I started feeling good inside.

On September 27, 2007, I decided I was going to take full charge of my own health. So I started walking but I could not walk ten minutes without being out of breath and hurting in my legs and back. But I was determined to continue to do the things that Dr. Virkler suggested in his book, Go Natural!

I also started eating more fruits and vegetables and drinking 8 glasses of filtered water. I realized one day that I was not feeling tired any more and I could walk from my car to Wal-mart and around in the store without feeling bad or out of breath. I could even jump and shout in church. Hallelujah! Praise God!

During the first week of October, I started taking multivitamins and other supplements, such as drinking two capfuls of superfruit juice twice daily. By November 30, 2007, my pressure was 115/66; I am feeling great, walking, exercising and loving every minute of it. As a matter of fact, I am now walking 4 laps in 22 minutes. Glory to God!

Also, I have lost 19 pounds in the process. It is my desire to walk 2 miles in 45 minutes and come off some of the blood pressure medication. I pray by June 2008 that I will see an even greater improvement in my health.

This class has been a blessing to me. I can safely say that it saved my life. And I thank God for leading me to take classes through this school. I pray that everything that God leads you all to do will be even greater than you could even ask, think or imagine.

Journaling The Past Has Been Forgiven
Lord, why has it been so hard for me to organize my life and schedule to do the work of the ministry like I used to? It seems like I just cant get to the things I want or even feel Im supposed to do. What is going on inside of me?

Terry, let Me tell you why you are having difficulty. You are still living in fear. Fear that you will fail, not sinbut fail as a pastorbecause you are afraid that because you failed and sinned that you are destined to a life of mediocrity. You must settle inside of your hearthave you been forgiven or not? Are you a new creation or not? Have I made all things new? Do you trust that I can truly restore?

I know you believe in your head the idea, but you still struggle in the back of your mind with the feeling that you will forever be second rate. That you cant ever accomplish anything of significance, and that you are destined for obscurity, and a work that will never truly have success. I love you, Terry! Because you have proven your heart to Me over and over.

But I must say, you still struggle with that inner peace and knowing that your past is pastand that I am not going to hold your past against you. Do you believe that, Terry? Or are you still that afraid of what others think about youAnd you are looking for validation from the public, or validation from Me, that will convince others that I am back in your life?

Well, Terry, I will not be bound by the manipulative spirit that tries to force Me to operate in that spirit. I have called you. I have placed My anointing on you. I have healed your heart, and am still healing your heart. You are a new man. If that isnt sufficient, I dont know what else can be done. You must accept resurrection as My gift, and My pathwayand that is not possible for you unless you die to these old, and wrong ideas.

You are My manand My vessel. And My anointed. I will bless your work, but it will be in My time not yours or when you feel you need validation. Stop worrying and fearing about what you cant control. Let go...and rest in Me. Okay? Let Me have your fearI will so remove it from you, that it will never be an issuebut this is holding you back...and has been the problem from the beginning.

And you have felt that going to the building you are in, that somehow that is My punishment, and not My blessing. I am trying to restore what the enemy has stolen from you and from that place of worship. It will be Mine. And I will have my place of Victoryand you will lead and direct what I do in this area...from that location.

Do not fear! Cast off fear and walk in My peace. Speak the truth, Terry. Speak what I have said to you. And stop cursing yourself, with negativity and fear. It will only hinder and prevent My purpose from being fulfilled in your life. But deal with it now, Terry, and settle it. For it chains you to mediocrity and futility and frustration, and a feeling of inadequacy, and a fear of man and so much more... and it is definitely not of Me.

I cast it down in your life, Terry. And you must do the same. I have bound it in heaven...now will you bind it on earth so we can get on with the work Ive called you to do? No more, My son. You are anointedyou are powerful, and you do have My heartand thats all I want. Dont back off, and stop pressing on. Be a positive influence in others and allow your faith to flow out of your mouth and your confession and see that I will accomplish what you say.

Another Fun Right Brain vs. Left Brain Test
Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or counter-clockwise?

I most commonly see her as going clockwise, which means I have moved more to the right side of my brain. However, by staring intensely at her feet and the shadow by her feet, I can see her spinning counterclockwise. (Mark Virkler)

Laughter Is Healing to the Bones Country Funeral
As a young minister, I was asked by a funeral director to hold a grave-side service for a homeless man, with no family or friends. The funeral was to be held at a cemetery way back in the country, and this man would be the first to be laid to rest there.

As I was not familiar with the backwoods area, I became lost; and being a typical man did not stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late.

I saw the backhoe and the crew, who were eating lunch, but the hearse was nowhere in sight.

I apologized to the workers for my tardiness, and stepped to the side of the open grave, where I saw the vault lid already in place. I assured the workers I would not hold them up for long, but this was the proper thing to do. The workers gathered around, still eating their lunch. I poured out my heart and soul.

As I preached the workers began to say Amen, Praise the Lord, and Glory! I preached, and I preached, like I'd never preached before, from Genesis all the way to Revelation.

I closed the lengthy service with a prayer and walked to my car. As I was opening the door and taking off my coat, I overheard one of the workers saying to another, I ain't never seen anything like that before, and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.

CLU Around the World
I have grown to love the lamad approach to learning, and the way that it takes us back to revelation knowledge.

My own academic background was so caught up in British rationalism [soul destroying], even though since I was born again 26 years ago I have always received revelation knowledge. My education did much to confuse me, but God has, in His great mercy, continued to help me to turn aside from the horrors of rationalism.

The courses I have been doing with you have given an excellent Biblical foundation for the life that is lived with Revelation knowledge integrated into every part of it, whether that be academically, or any other part of life. In the BTh programme which I teach, I trust my students will get a far better education than I did because of the lamad concepts of learning. I am making these my own, and I would thoroughly recommend CLU to my students.
