Very soon, Christian Leadership University will register its 1000th student.  CLU will honor this milestone in its growth by awarding a free Communion With God Course to the 1000th enrollee, as well as to enrollees number 1001 and 1002.  So now is the time to enroll!

Christian Leadership University becomes accredited!

Christian Leadership University has just received accreditation by the World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions (WWAC), overseen by Dr. Paul Richardson.

In addition, Christian Leadership University is certified by the Apostolic Council for Educational Accountability (ACEA). Dr. C. Peter Wagner, head of the Wagner Institute for Practical Ministry, formed this group as an alternative to traditional accreditation for the new apostolic churches that are emerging (www.acea-schools.org).

Both WWAC and ACEA provide evaluation and accountability without distorting the purpose and vision of Christian Leadership University. Neither is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A more complete accreditation statement is available at the end of this newsletter for those interested.

From Australia - Some journaling about curriculum development

Orlando Figueiredo, employed by Brisbane Faith Centre in Australia, had the following conversation with the Lord on October 21, 2001. Brisbane Faith Centre will be using Christian Leadership University's curriculum in the government-recognized curriculum package being developed, which will lead toward various degrees for students in that region of the world.

"Lord, what would You say about the college and the type of curriculum we should have? What should be our focus?"

"Son, My book of life is all about Me and My relationship with you, My people, whom I created. A book of life must essentially be able to demonstrate a relationship based on trust between both parties. Trust is very important and a fundamental position, just as Adam and Eve trusted Me and enjoyed My presence. My desire is to deepen the trust between your students and Me. Solving problems and debating theories will not do this. Clearly I must first have a living and abiding relationship in their lives. Your students must be able to see Me, hear Me, and follow all I say. I desire to reveal intimate knowledge of myself to each one, but this only comes as trust is developed by each student, and they open their lives to Me to fill. Some students will not embrace this idea, but this is what I desire. It is not to be a place where knowledge is imparted, but a place where intimacy is cultivated and nurtured.

"Son, this college shall be different from all others, for it will demonstrate My flow of My Spirit as an abiding experience for all students. I will cause hearts to be opened in new ways; faith shall arise to a new level in your church and beyond. My people shall be Mine, and I will lead them by My Spirit as they learn to listen and see what I am saying on a daily basis. My Word is holy, and it shall be holy in their hearts. Their desire shall be to know Me better and know how to continually receive from Me on a daily basis.

"Together we shall work as a team; I will show you step-by-step what to do, but be not anxious, nor quick to move on. Allow Me to work in your midst, continually look to Me for the next step and I will give it. My people will learn to live out of My voice for then they shall aspire to great heights in My Spirit. Take care to observe all I show you and you will be amazed at the power unleashed in each student's life."

"Thank You, Lord."

One pastor's wife summarizes the effect of the Communion With God course upon her life

"God is definitely changing me because of this course.  I finally believe God loves me, although I know there are still areas of healing needed to allow the message of God's love to go to the very depths of my core.  God's continuous message to me in the midst of journaling, vision, and even the occasional dream, is of His unending love for me.  God's love is not a new message to any Christian, but although I have been a Christian for over 30 years, God has used what I am learning and putting into practice from this course as one of the primary means to allow me to really receive this message personally. I can't begin to express my gratitude.

"The added benefit of doing this course with two friends, is that God is building a level of intimacy between us that never existed before...even though I have prayed with one of them off and on for several years, and I had already considered our friendship as being significant. In closing let me leave you with the journaling excerpt inspired from Chapter 12 on Yadah Times.

"`You are learning about trust...the most basic, foundational step of relationship-building.  You have not learned to trust, you are suspicious and fearful.  It often taints your relationships as it does ours.  I am leading you to learn to trust Me wholly.  As you do, as you are beginning to do, your times of fleeing from Me will become less and less and the sweetness we share when you come to Me without reservation will grow to be our experience when we meet.  I love you.  You can trust Me because I am trustworthy.  Thank you for continuing to persevere to push into Me.  You will not be disappointed...I love you, My child.  Come away with Me.'

"In His love (at last) Lynda Russett"

Christian Leadership University students write

"I cannot tell you how much these courses have touched my life and ministry.  My prayer life has become anointed and I have been receiving more visions then ever.  God is moving in a mighty way!  Praise God. I praise Him for leading me to this University.  I had such a burning in my spirit to take courses and I thank Him for that also." Denise Balasa

"And now, Mark, I am off to my books and tapes again...I have to tell you, I am TOTALLY enjoying the coursework.  I honestly believe that EVERY Christian needs to have this information.  I would love to teach it at the YWAM Discipleship Training Schools." Joy Miller

Prophetic words from Mimi Lowe, Ontario, Canada concerning September 11th

"The Lord impressed upon me in September to write this letter to you. I procrastinated because I find it very difficult to put into words what the Holy Spirit has been showing me. This is also the first time I have been shown so much of God's heart regarding world events as they are unfolding. I apologize for the fact that I have never made efforts to keep abreast of American politics, so there are gaps in what I share because of lack of knowledge.

"Two days before 9/11 I felt, `The Lord hates those who hate His people.' I did not know or understand why I felt this at the time. The day of the attack on the World Trade Center I was in shock like everyone else. But within the next two days the Holy Spirit spoke to me about these tragic events.

"I did not know what to do with all this, so I submitted it to the leadership of my church, Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. They in turn felt it was accurate and gave it to their intercessors.

"There is a strong parallel between the September 11th attack and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I was only four years old at the time of Pearl Harbor and was not aware of the consequences of the bombing. Only after 9/11 did the Holy Spirit show me the spiritual aspect of the event. The Lord used these two attacks on American soil to call the U.S. into war. Pearl Harbor forced the Americans into a war they were not militarily prepared for. It took them a year or so to build up their war machines, all the while fighting not one, but two enemies, the Japanese and the Germans.

"The U.S. was victorious because God was with them and they decided never to be caught unprepared again, which was according to God's plan. Through the years God has been preparing and strengthening the U.S. spiritually, financially and militarily.

"God is calling the U.S. to war against terrorism. It is very important to note the Russians failed in their attempt to gain control of Afghanistan. Historically, Afghanistan could not be defeated. God clearly showed me the Soviets, being one of the super powers, went down in defeat against a small country because they went in their own power and might. The American coalition's war against terrorism will be successful because God is with them. They do not realize it, but they are following God's marching orders.

"Many years ago, Nikita Krushchev, when admitting defeat against the Americans said, `You Americans have an advantage over us. You have something we do not have. You have Jesus.' He, at one time, was positive that America would become a Communist country in the following generations to come.

"The back of Islam will be broken, as it has been prophesied. They, too, will utter these same words, that we have Jesus. The war against terrorism will be a long battle but in the end, the world will see that our God is the One and Only True Living God.

"Here I share bits and pieces of what the Holy Spirit has shown me; perhaps you can fill in the blanks. As previously mentioned, there is much I do not know about America and its politics.

"God's mandate for the U.S. is to fight His battles when He calls them to.
God has raised up a standard in the United States of America.
The United States is like a shining beacon to the world.
The United States is to be like a police force, enforcing justice in parts of the world where needed.
I do not know the history of the American flag, but I strongly feel that it must at all times fly high in all its glory. The American flag is God's flag, never to be undermined.
God chose George W. Bush to be President to fulfill God's call upon his life.
The Bush administration is also hand-picked by God.
I saw the women playing very significant roles in helping Afghan women.
I was praying for the Afghan women, and the Lord spoke to me and said, "Don't worry, I have women in the Bush administration who will help them." (I see that is about to unfold as I am writing this letter.)
Everything and everyone is in place for the unfolding of God's will.
I feel strongly that the Bush administration is going to make right what is wrong. I cannot elaborate more on this, I just see a lot of messes left behind by those who were before him, and President Bush is going to straighten some of them out.
The United States is going to war as a Christian country, in the name of our God. Needless to say, our God will win.

"Bin Laden, the Taliban and their followers hate the Jews and the Americans.
God hates those who hate His people; the Jews and the Americans are His people.
God has strongly impressed upon me His love for the Americans and His anointing upon the United States of America.
I felt God say, `Woe to those who hate My people.'
Being a Canadian, I wondered about Canada. The Holy Spirit assured me that God loves Canadians just as much, but our calling differs from that of the U.S. and He wanted me to focus on what He wanted to show me about America.
I am absolutely awestruck by the bigness of our wonderful God.
He showed me that even though the enemy struck the nerve center of the United States, and the enormity of the tragedy is unspeakable, God is still in control and had, and always will have, the upper hand over the enemy.
This is a war being fought in the spirit realm.
Satan has been running amok for many years.
These days are the most exciting of times.
God is rising up; His time is at hand.
For the past few years, the Holy Spirit has been moving all over the world as never before. Churches and individual lives have been transformed by the power of God.
God has been raising up people and nations to be passionate for Jesus.
It has been a new era in the spiritual life of His Church. The Holy Spirit took us step-by-step to higher and higher levels in Him.
The Holy Spirit has strengthened us in our faith and commitment to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I see a huge net (like a fisherman's net) around planet Earth. The enemy has plugged up many holes in this net in various parts of the world.
God wants to remove the darkness that is plugging up the holes.
God is rising up to wage war against the enemies of His people.
And we, along with His chosen people, are His people.
It is evident that life will never be the same for people globally, but I feel such an excitement in my spirit, because life will never be the same spiritually.
It is like God is taking Christians into a higher or different dimension. And we cannot go back, not that we would want to.
God has been moving in power in the spiritual life of the Church, but now He is moving in the secular world also.
I believe the world will see evidence of the reality of our God.
These are truly the most exciting of times."

Christian Leadership University's Accreditation - Expanded Statement

Christian Leadership University is accredited by the World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions (WWAC), overseen by Dr.

In addition, CLU believes that the Spirit-empowered ministries that develop in your life accredit its discipling experience.

"You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts" (II Cor. 3:2,3).

As you become effective in the release of divine power through your life, people will take notice and naturally give place for you and your ministry (Prov. 22:29). This is exactly what happened with Jesus. He had no accredited degrees, but the power that flowed through His hands caused multitudes to come to Him. Your Spirit-anointed ministry is what accredits our program and opens the doors before you for a continually expanding impact on His world.

The CLU program has been built around the nationally-recognized semester credit, which requires 45 hours of learning experience for each credit awarded. A CLU Bachelor's degree has been accepted by Liberty University, a regionally-accredited institution, and the student allowed to begin in Liberty's Master's level program.

The people who definitely need government-recognized accredited degrees are those seeking employment in government-licensed positions such as public school teachers and state-licensed psychologists or psychiatrists. Generally, people working in ministry positions do not need a government-accredited degree. In fact, a number of churches take a stand against the Church voluntarily placing itself under government regulations.

My experience with government-recognized "accredited" institutions does not make me feel that being accredited by the government is superior to being "certified" or being accredited by a religious accrediting institution.  Actually, the opposite is true. Having graduated from a government-recognized accredited college, having experienced first-hand their lack of expertise in helping me reach my spiritual and ministerial goals, and then having examined the standards of government-recognized accrediting agencies, I decided CLU would establish its own standards.

For example, no government standard I have seen requires of teachers:
1. That they have high moral qualities.
2. That they be able to bring about life-transformation in their students.
3. That they be proven leaders in their fields.
4. That they be able to hear God's voice and see divine vision.
5. That they be able to teach with divine anointing.
6. That they have a love and passion for their subject.

CLU requires all of the above; government-accrediting boards require none of them. I believe that the approach CLU has taken is superior.

The World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions and the Apostolic Council for Educational Accountability are not recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

WWAC has approved the following statement: "We [Christian Leadership University] are fully accredited by the World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions (WWAC). Anyone wishing to contact them for verification may write to: The WWAC, Dr. Paul Richardson, Executive President, 2800 Blendwell Rd., Richmond, VA 23224."
