Dancing
With Fire – Journaling
from Frank Berry
|
 |
I
am the Fire that will never go out. Come dance with Me. I will
create the light so you will not stumble. If you will allow
Me, I will take the lead. I will guide you into My place of
holiness. It’s a refreshing place that drains you of all the
baggage that weighs so heavily on you.
When
I lead, it will be like you are floating on air because I have
magnetized those things that were stuck on you. They are now
stuck on Me. Can you see it? I’m carrying the load.
Actually, it’s not even a load because My burdens are
non-existent. It doesn’t remain on Me nor can it last in My
presence. Once they are off of you and placed on me, they
dissolve because My fire burns them immediately.
Well,
how is it to dance with Fire? You remember hearing your mom
say, ‘Don’t play with fire!’ Well, I guess you have
broken that rule. Smile! It’s OK to laugh, you know. You’re
not only playing with fire – you’re dancing with Fire.

Taking
God’s Voice to Inner City Children
Following is the story of Gina who is meeting every Saturday with
children in the inner city, where she is seeing healing of children’s
lives by teaching them to journal and
hear
the voice of God. The Lord spoke to Gina, “Serve My people.
Tell them how to walk into the chamber of intimacy with Me for there
is protection in the chamber.”
Gina’s Journaling
(7-4-08)
The Lord showed me a picture of an apple tree and said,
|
 |
My
love has been able to be rooted even deeper within you as you
have given Me access to another chamber in your heart. And you
will see the buds of your ministry accelerate with many
blossoms of many colors for you are as an apple tree planted
firmly by the living and pure water. Not only will many buds
and many buds be upon your branches of ministry but your root
system will grow and connect with others who are planted in
the good soil of My kingdom.
The fruit from your branches will be luscious and firm and it
will remain as a testimony to Me. For My Presence upon the
apple tree can bring nothing but goodness and mercy.
You will speak “healing” and they will be healed. You will
speak “peace” and they will be stilled. You will speak “listen”
and strategy will be revealed. And you will speak “love”
and they will be arrested by Me. Destinies will be shaped and
destinies will be released as your branches produce the fruit
of My Spirit…the fruit that remains.

Currently Gina meets with three groups of kids on Saturday
mornings. So far 21 kids have come at least once. On an average
Saturday she will connect with 10-15 children between the groups.
They’ll meet at a picnic table, Burger King or in a room at a
nearby center in a very dangerous part of the inner city.

Listen
to the dream God gave Gina concerning a Blanket of Unconditional
Love...
I was in an old building that was considered a “safe house”
for inner city children.
The children had the freedom to choose to stay or to go.
There were bunk beds lined up along the wall. Part of my role was to
tuck the children into their beds so they could stay warm. More than
one child was in each bed. All of the children in the dream were
African-American.
There was a little girl who was particularly thin with
braided hair and eyes that had seen too much. I took a blanket and
wrapped it tightly around her and then placed her into a bed putting
another blanket over her as if I knew that she needed extra warmth.
A poignant scene that I cannot seem to shake was of a boy
probably the age of 14 or so. He had chosen to leave the “safe
house” and go back outside into the cold. He had hoped to leave
quietly without my knowledge. In his backpack were all his
possessions and I knew then what his intentions were. I was crying…
I hugged him and I told him that I loved him… I would always love
him… I would pray for him every day of his life… and I would
always welcome him back to the “safe house” no matter what
happened in the cold.
His eyes (dear God, will I ever forget those eyes?) filled
with tears which seemed to surprise him. It was clear that he was
torn. He would look at me and then towards the “voices in the cold”
who were calling to him. It seemed as if he could not stand against
this battle within him to go back to the cold.
The pull of the voices won out and he walked through the door
into the cold…
I woke up then and my heart was shattered. Even now I am
fighting back the tears wondering where he is…will I meet him in
the inner city on Saturday? Have I already met him? Oh God, who is
he? And the little girl…have I wrapped that extra blanket on the
ones you have pointed out to me…or have I missed her…please
Lord, may I see with Your eyes, may I touch with Your hands, and may
I speak Your words…
And I wonder…how many times have I too left the “safe
house” and made the choice to listen to the “voices in the cold”…shattering
My Father’s heart…
Gina’s
Vision (10-14-08) – “Teach them to dance in intimacy with Me”
While sitting on my patio praying I saw a vision. Near the patio
a large white horse materialized. Jesus was sitting on it. As He
looked at me He said, “I am coming soon. Prepare My children.”
He held a sword in one hand and I could see a scar on the palm of
His other hand. He reached down toward me to hoist me up behind Him.
Once sitting behind Him, He handed to me a rope to hold. I turned
around behind me to see what the rope was attached to. I was amazed
and I began to weep as I saw many small ponies that were being led
by this rope. On each pony were two to three African American
children riding on them following behind me. I heard the Lord say,
“I have entrusted the children to you for a little while. Teach
them to dance in intimacy with Me.”
Individual
pictures of the children journaling, along with samples
of their first time of journaling can be found here. (Note: This
link is to a Microsoft Word document. Click "OK" or
"Open" in the dialog box that appears. All photos and
names used with permission.)
Gina says, “One of the things the Lord has me do is to journal
for each of them, too. I then write in their journals what I’ve
heard. They love to hear what God is saying to me about them!!!”
What
about YOU?
What a blessing and encouragement to see how Gina is sharing the
message of Communion with God. We’d love to hear from you too!
Would you send us your story
and pictures of what God’s voice has brought forth in your life so
we can inspire others with your testimony of intimacy with the King?
Vision
Nurtures Spirit-Anointed Teaching –
Ken D.
“I taught my first Bible Study last Saturday evening by fixing my
eyes on Jesus and I was not nervous at all. There was one time for
about five seconds that I took my eyes off the image/face that I
have of Him and then I started getting nervous again. I focused and
fixed my eyes on Him and again and there was no nervousness. This
technique really works! I will be mindful and implement this
technique every time that I teach God's Word.”
CLU
Students Write –
Paul Wolak
“I have almost completed my second course towards my Master’s in
Worship Ministry degree and have been thoroughly taught by the Holy
Spirit during both courses. I am very excited about the preparation
I am receiving, and know that God is getting me ready to fulfill my
destiny in the earth by the power of His Spirit. Every time I study
or meditate on the materials the Spirit of God is there to bring
fresh revelation. Not just information, but an unveiling of truth
that works every day!
“Thank you for obeying God and starting this University. I have
had a desire in my heart for years to see schools that taught the
full Word of God by revelation of the Spirit. Your school is very
unique in that it is equipping men and women for ministry, but also
for the vital work that needs to be done in our society as a whole.
I have learned that the voice of God is needed in every facet of
society: business, family, church, government, education and others.”

A
Special Request for Help –
Patti Virkler
Christian Leadership University daily receives letters from people
around the world who want to take courses from us. Many of these
people are in developing nations, as well as a significant number of
people in prison both here in the U.S. and in other countries. We
have established policies for reducing the costs to such people,
giving an average of 15% of our gross ministry income each year
toward meeting their needs.
For prisoners in the United States, we ask them to pay only a
very small, nominal amount for the books and materials that they are
allowed to receive. For instance, we charge only $20 their first
course, Communion
with God. Obviously, this does not begin to cover our costs, but
it does represent a cost and a commitment on their part which we
believe is important to their own personal growth. Many prisoners
are able to find a family member or church on the outside that is
willing to underwrite their education.
Right now we have a prisoner who has been corresponding with
Cheryl for several months, earnestly desiring to begin taking
courses from CLU. He is serving a 263 month sentence in federal
prison on drug charges. He has no immediate family still living, and
he does not earn enough at his prison job to cover his education. He
has distributed the “Sponsor Request” letters that we provided
him, but no one has responded. He even has sent out letters
(hundreds of them, he says) to philanthropy organizations that give
away money for education but to no avail.
So we are coming to you, the people who believe in the message of
communion with God and who have seen the benefit of learning to hear
His voice in your own lives. I know the economy is a mess, and
everything is costing more than it did just a few months ago. But I
also know that we are not bound by the economy of this world or this
nation. We live in God’s economy where the more you give, the more
you receive, and the more you plant, the more you harvest.
Would you be willing to invest in the life of a prisoner who has
turned from his sin and wants to grow into the likeness of his Lord?
As I said, the first course would cost only $20. From there, he
would take the Through the Bible series in which he would use the
same two texts for eight courses, so again, the costs would be very
low.
If he continued to take classes, and you wanted to continue
sponsoring him, Cheryl would contact you with costs and options as
needed. If you request it, we would send you a copy of his grade
reports so you could watch his progress. This would be a tax
deductible contribution to CWG Ministries, and an eternal investment
for both Aaron and you. Would you pray about it and see what the
Lord wants you to do? Thank you so much!

Heals – Lesson in Lying
A minister told his congregation, “Next week I plan to preach
about the sin of lying. To help you understand my sermon, I want you
all to read Mark 17.”
The following Sunday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, the
minister asked for a show of hands. He wanted to know how many had
read Mark 17. Every hand went up.
The minister smiled and said, “Mark has only sixteen chapters.
I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying.”
