Mark Virkler will be teaching Communion With God and Prayers That Heal the Heart to an estimated 10,000 Nigerian Christians this spring, from March 29 – April 5th. Rev. Dan A. Amugo, a section leader of the Assemblies of God in Nigeria, has told us he will have 4,000 AOG Christians at the seminar, and Jude Umesi, the Nigerian host of the tour and a translator of many of Mark’s books, has stated he will be bringing an additional 6,000 to the week-long seminars. We have committed to sending over $5000 to cover half of the cost of printing 10,000 Communion With God Seminar Guides, and 10,000 Prayers That Heal the Heart Seminar Guides. (The other half of the cost will come from seminar participants.) In addition, the airline ticket costs approximately $1500, which we will be covering. We would appreciate your assistance in financing and interceding for this Nigerian tour. Please pray about your participation in this outreach. I have seen your pain, I have heard your cries, and yet you do not come to Me. How long will it be until you learn to seek Me first as your source of comfort and confirmation? “I see your loneliness, I feel your rejection, I see the fear you have of being rejected again by others...BUT I AM...not like others. Until you learn that I will never leave, until you learn I will never forsake you, you will also have fear with Me. You must learn to trust Me. That means stepping out, trying Me, testing Me when your feelings are telling you otherwise. When My Son responded to the Tempter, ‘You should not put God to the test,’ this is not the type of testing He (Jesus) was referring to. What I am asking of you is to push your faith, build it. “I am with you always. I am in you. Stop thinking of Me being separate from you...it is too easy for you to then think rejection. But if you remember we are one as the Father and Son are one, then you will know your acceptance, your approval, your righteousness is secure in Me. I cannot reject Myself. Rest in Me. Trust Me. Believe in Me. Let Me hold you when you need to cry. Know My heart beats with yours. “And when you fall, remember I was wounded for your transgressions, I was bruised for your iniquities, the chastisement of the whole world was placed upon Me. Repent and go on. Your prolonged sorrow for the things I have already paid for is not helpful. Your guilt for your actions that are less than perfect, is futile. Remember ‘metaxi.’* You are not yet in heaven. I don't expect perfection from you. It is your heart that matters to Me. I love you, My child...come away and love with Me.” I asked God, “Love who?” He replied, “Love yourself. I will show you how to love you. That will also help you in loving others, but right now I want you to joy in My joy over you, delight in My delight in you and sing the song of love I have for you.” *(“Metaxi” is a word used by Augustine suggesting that in our lives we are between Eden and Heaven. We cannot or should not expect perfection this side of heaven. Life will be messy.) March 7th, 2002 - Journaling after the lesson on Chapter 20 of CWG, I asked, “Lord, what is my call and gifting? Am I an intercessor?” God replied, “My precious child, I believe you already know My calling on your life but I would love to reassure you again about what it is. Healing in Love. I have wanted you to know Me more, to know My love for you, for without it there is really no healing. Truly healing only comes through Me. True love only comes in Me. I am love. When you know Me, you know love. “Part of the journey of working out your marriage (Note: I believe God has told me not to do any formal counseling until I get my marriage in order) is about ‘covering’ but it is more about you having and knowing love. Much of your healing power will come through your tears of love. When I speak of healing I am not primarily speaking of physical healing, but that will come, for I have made you (humans) all one. “You are not an intercessor per se but part of healing in love is taking My lambs to the very arms of love of their Shepherd so they can feel warmth, My love, My heart. You must be in touch with My heart to do that. “I have given you gifts of encouragement, of mercy, and of prophecy. You will teach but this comes more out of your other gifts. The book Go Natural! by Mark and Patti Virkler expands these points. Dream Interpretation - The Root of the Issue by Steve Bydeley Dream: I was at John's house. There was a man who I saw walking away with some things. I went up to him, pulled two things out of his hands, and began walking back to John’s place. He protested and followed me back a ways, but I did not yield — these things belonged to John. I was then walking in the backyard and pulled the blades of grass apart looking for the soil. When I found the soil it was down very far and as I stepped down to the soil, the top of the grass was at my chest. I told John that when he had been cutting the grass he was not getting to the roots - he was playing around on the surface. As I worked to climb back out, I woke up. Background: The evening before this dream, I had given a talk to our cell group on possible reasons why there were not more healings evident within the church. These issues, though vital to abundant life, seem to be on the fringes of common acceptance. I had been reluctant to share this information because it can be difficult to accept and prone to misunderstanding and misuse. However, I also believe that it is extremely important that the church, the children of God, hear this information. For those reasons, I gave my presentation. Interpretation: The dream was subjective and told me that I was indeed taking back from the thief, the enemy of our souls, what belongs to John, a conservative church friend of mine who represents the conservative church. It also told me that where I was getting into something very deep, John, being very conservative, had been content to snip and trim away at only the top layer of the issues. Finally, it told me I was getting into something that was not going to be easy to climb out of once I climbed into it. Effect on my life: The dream encouraged me to continue to study and research the topic, with an understanding of some of the difficulties that I will face. The Lord uses dreams to improve marriages, parenting skills, workplace relationships, friendships, give encouragement, bring hope, etc. Steve and Dianne Bydeley are authors of the book Dream Dreams, with a companion workbook, teacher’s manual and seminar audiotapes.
